Lia Richards-Palmiter, Ph.D., LCSW
Our Backgrounds
Dr Dave is a Professor Emeritus at Marywood University and a member of the national Board of Directors of Children and Adults with ADHD (CHADD). A boarded clinical psychologist, Dr. Palmiter has over 25 years of clinical, teaching and supervision experience, has been awarded fellow status by several organizations in psychology, is a past president of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and has received numerous awards for his work within psychology. Dr. Palmiter has authored over three dozen publications, including two books on promoting resilience in youth, completed over 250 professional presentations and served as a primary source for over 300 media projects for international audiences. Dr. Dave also weaves magic into his professional services to foster connection, meaning, and joy.
Dr. Lia an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of the District of Columbia. She is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive clinical experience in mental health, racial identity, trauma informed care and DEI work with schools, corporations and communities. She has worked in field of social work in hospital settings, higher education, private practice, and community settings. Dr. Lia serves on numerous committees and boards and holds membership in national organizations. Her research interests include academic persistence for marginalized groups, including first year experiences in higher education, gender narratives, DEI work in K-12 and the community, and behavioral and racial disparities in school settings.
